Wir beim CSD Klön 2025

About Us

A little background about us and why we created this site.

This page

This website originally came about out of necessity: while there are plenty of sewing patterns for women’s clothing, there are hardly any for men’s fashion—and certainly none for transgender people or crossdressers. So what could be more natural than creating a site where people could find information on making their own clothes, complete with sewing patterns and tips for using a sewing machine?

But after just a short time, we realized that wasn’t enough for us. We also wanted to explain why we don’t want to wear clothes that are run-of-the-mill. On the one hand, because we want to take a stand against disposable consumption in the clothing industry (fast fashion); on the other hand, because we believe that every person is unique and should dress accordingly.

It’s not just the sewing machine that should stand alone; other craft projects will follow. Upcycling, recycling, and customizing are at the top of the list. Everything should reflect our outlook on life and our lifestyle. And the fun of the whole thing shouldn’t be overlooked either.

At this point, we also tried to explain a few terms whose meanings aren’t necessarily familiar, even though they’re often used, such as kink, fetish, or gay.

This is us

We describe ourselves as somewhat unusual people, but we still consider ourselves normal.

In the photo, you can see us at the WDR Funkhaus, enjoying breakfast at the 2025 Cologne CSD.

Stefan

56 years old, pansexual, the male partner in the relationship.

But also the creative one, the doer. The one of us who can lock himself away for days with his sewing machine and a duvet cover, only to proudly admire the curtain he’s made from it afterward.

Sven

53 years old, transgender, the female partner in the relationship.

Since I can’t even handle a ruler without making a mess of it, I’d rather do the housework while Stefan sews the curtains.

Our son also lives with us. He’s an almost normal teenager, but we love him anyway. Well, most of the time, anyway.

And our daughter comes to visit us from time to time, too. She’s a sweet girl who’s just as passionate about sewing as her dad.

Future

In the future, we want to be a little more open and welcome people into our lives. We want to encourage them to live the way they want and to be open about who they are in society. We don’t want them to make the same mistakes we did—hiding ourselves because we weren’t accepted by our families, society, or friends.
